AN ERA when people shoot more
videotape in a month than Atchley's grandfather shot film in a lifetime, it
seems that a story is the best way of framing family archives. There was a memorable
scene often repeated in his grandfather's home movies. After his death Atchley
edited these scenes together and wrote a piece of music for them. This story
is the second story Atchley tells in his interactive performance Next Exit
and serves to frame the recurrent themes of family generations and a father's
expectations. SIZE: 2.4
